Hernando Realtor® Installed As District 7 Vice President of Florida’s Largest Professional Association

ORLANDO, Fla., February 2018 – Debbie Rector, broker-owner, Top Performance Real Estate Consultants in Hernando, has been installed as District 7 vice president of Florida Realtors®, the state’s largest professional association. She will serve her fellow professionals in District 7, which encompasses Lake, Sumter, Hernando, Marion and Citrus counties. Rector is a member of the Realtors® Association of Citrus County.

“We are currently in a seller’s market, creating opportunities for owners to move forward into a new stage in their lives,” says Rector, who is active in residential brokerage. “We expect our district to continue to enjoy strong sales in the coming year.”

A leader in regional and state real estate organizations, Rector is a former president of the Citrus County association and has served on numerous committees. She has served as a director of the state association, and as a member of several forums and committees for Florida Realtors. Rector also is Florida Realtors PAC (Political Action Committee) trustee for District 7.

Rector says there have been many magical moments in her real estate career. “In my early 20s, I represented a buyer who insisted that the seller clean the home’s gutters before he would close,” she says. “When the seller refused, I borrowed a friend’s truck and ladder and cleaned them myself. I had the seller’s permission of course.  I knew then that I would go the extra mile to help my clients.”

As district vice president for the state association, Rector will focus on enhancing Florida Realtors’ advocacy, education and support programs for real estate professionals. “As Realtors, we do so much more for families than just open a door,” she says. “Our association is a powerful advocate for homeowners, and every day our members strive to change the lives of Floridians for the better.”
