REALTORS® ASSOCIATION OF CITRUS COUNTY DONATES RECORD $43,128 TO LOCAL CHARITIES
Funds Support Citrus County Blessings and Family Resource Center

Citrus County, FL — The REALTORS® Association of Citrus County (RACC) proudly announced a record-breaking charitable donation of $43,128 to two local nonprofit organizations, Citrus County Blessings and the Family Resource Center of Citrus County. The funds were raised throughout the year by local REALTORS® and Business Partners and were split evenly between the two organizations.

In support of her 2025 theme, Building Foundations: Community, Unity, Impact, President Lynn Harris of the REALTORS® Association of Citrus County selected two charitable partners to support through the Association’s community outreach efforts, organizations dedicated to meeting essential needs and strengthening the foundation of local families.

This year’s total represents the REALTORS® Association of Citrus County’s highest fundraising achievement since 2020, highlighting the Association’s unwavering commitment to giving back to the community it serves. Since 2020, RACC has proudly contributed more than $143,000 to local charities and community organizations, making a meaningful difference in the lives of families, neighbors, and those in need across Citrus County.

“My theme this year is Building Foundations, and these organizations are doing exactly that. Creating stability, hope, and opportunity for families right here in Citrus County,” said Lynn Harris, 2025 President of the REALTORS® Association of Citrus County. “Our REALTORS® don’t just help people find homes,  we advocate for our community, invest in its future, and show up in meaningful ways. This record-breaking impact is a direct reflection of that commitment.”

Funds were raised through a variety of REALTOR® and Business Partner led initiatives throughout the year, including community events, fundraising drives, sponsorships, and member-supported outreach efforts. Each designed to give back locally while engaging REALTORS® and Business Partners as active community advocates.

At the Family Resource Center of Citrus County, the donation will directly support programs that provide food assistance, access to medical care, employment and education resources, and holiday support for families in need.

“This donation means hope and stability for Citrus County families, helping put food on the table, providing access to medical care, creating Christmas for more than 2,000 children, and offering opportunities that move our neighbors from crisis to stability,” said RJ Fontana, Executive Director of the Family Resource Center. “Community support and partnerships are the heart of what we do. Together, we build a stronger safety net that truly transforms lives.”

At Citrus County Blessings, the contribution will strengthen children’s food security by supporting weekend and holiday meal programs for students throughout the county.

“This generous donation ensures that children who rely on our weekend and holiday break bags continue to have consistent access to nutritious food,” said Christina Reed, Executive Director of Citrus County Blessings. “Hunger is often hidden, but it’s very real here at home. Partnerships like this not only provide critical funding, they build awareness, volunteerism, and shared responsibility for ensuring no child in Citrus County goes hungry.”

Both organizations emphasized the growing, often unseen needs within the community. Many impacting working families, grandparents raising grandchildren, and children who depend on school meals during the week.

The REALTORS® Association of Citrus County remains committed to strengthening the communities it serves, not only through housing advocacy and professionalism, but through hands-on involvement and sustained charitable impact.
