REALTORS® Association of Citrus County

MEDIA RELATIONS

Association Spokesperson

The President of the REALTORS® Association of Citrus County (RACC) holds a pivotal leadership role within the organization. As the primary spokesperson, the President is entrusted with the responsibility of communicating on behalf of the Association regarding all RACC matters. This includes articulating the Association's stance on key issues, sharing updates on ongoing activities, and conveying important information about programs and policies to both members and the public.

Communication Protocol

Any media request must be made through the Association Executive, Marsha Coleman, at 352-746-7550 or via email at ae@raccfl.com.

To ensure consistency and accuracy in messaging, it is essential that all communications related to the Association's activities are handled by the leadership team. The President is the primary voice of the RACC, representing the collective interests and perspectives of the Association. This centralization of communication helps maintain a clear, unified voice that aligns with the Association's mission and values.

Regardless of authorship, all press releases must be proofread by staff before release. The President serves as the spokesperson for the Association.

Delegation of Spokesperson Duties

While the President is the main spokesperson, there may be instances where specific issues require specialized knowledge or expertise. In such cases, the President has the discretion to delegate spokesperson duties to a knowledgeable RACC Board of Director, member, or committee chairperson who possesses the appropriate expertise. This delegation is issue-specific and limited to the particular matter at hand, ensuring that the most informed and qualified individuals represent the Association on that topic.

Ensuring Effective Communication

This structured approach to communication not only reinforces the authority and leadership of the President but also ensures that the right messages are delivered by the right people at the right time. By adhering to this protocol, the RACC maintains its reputation for professionalism, reliability, and transparency in all its communications, both within the Association and with the broader community.
